Windows can't open Add Printer. The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine


Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a client computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
  • You try to create a Point and Print connection to a remote printer from the client computer.
In this scenario, the operation fails and you receive the following error message:









Using "Add Printer", the message says "Windows can't open Add Printer.  The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine".  Restarting the machine does not resolve the problem.

Your Installed Local Printer XP Operating base system(COM-1), If you want share this printer on network. Other system Windows7 base system(COM-2), try to shared network printer Com-1 To Com-2 but error showing:

"Windows can't open Add Printer.  The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine"

How to fixs this problem...?


Plase download this Hotfixs and installed windows7 base system, Then restart system...Now configure network printer..Then enjoy..!!
